Roots Rock Reggae

On Saturday, February 7th, 2015, Toronto Mayor John Tory official declared the date Bob Marley Day. In response, Earth 1 Productions created Roots Rock Reggae – a celebration in the spirit of the Great Peace and Spirit of Ubuntu to honour Bob Marley and his accomplishments. All proceeds from the night supported the Wild Cane Community Centre in St Ann Jamaica. Ambassadors came from Jamaica, South Africa and the Six Nations to give speeches, opening the night of music which featured performances by Odel Johnson (Messenjah), Fujahtive, Chester Miller, Jahsmin Daley and Jah Beng.

Blue Moth Creative acted as one of many sponsors and created a video highlight reel of the night to showcase the performers, people, food and peaceful atmosphere. All the musical acts were recorded and a “best of” audio release of the night will be coming out shortly.
