The Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame is located at Camões Square, at the corner of College and Crawford in Toronto. Positioned in the heart of a vibrant community of people of all backgrounds, it is intended to honour those of a Portuguese heritage who have made an impact and significant contribution to the advancement of Portuguese Canadian Culture in Canada. The walk was inaugurated on June 2nd, 2013 during celebrations to commemorate 60 years of Portuguese immigration to Canada. The yearly ceremony is an important one not only for the Portuguese – Canadians who have contributed immensely to making this city great, but also to the community of Toronto itself. Multiculturalism and inter-community support is what moulds this city into the welcoming and international place that it is.
Blue Moth Creative is proud to have been able to contribute by rebuilding their website to help catalogue the Portuguese-Canadian inductees, creating a database of individual pages for each and every inaugurate. The website also features an online nomination submission form and boasts responsive design and clear-cut styling. Our photography team also provided custom photos, taken at the first two yearly ceremonies. The event photos below are featured from the 2014 inauguration ceremony and are shot by Nick Lachance.
